The Vital Signs of Lunenburg County initiative is alive and at work.  Four working groups were established at the November (2010) meeting: 

• Health and Wellness;
• The Economy;
• Literacy; and
• Under 34 (a very strange name, however very descriptive of the group). 

The goal of the working groups is to address key issues arising from the Vital Signs report through grass-roots initiatives involving people from different sectors and communities within the county.  All the effort is toward improving life in Lunenburg County!

On November 9, 2010, we hosted a follow-up meeting to the launch of Lunenburg County's Vital Signs Report. We were very pleased to have about 75 people turn out to begin the work on the next steps. Our objective for the meeting was to continue the discussion on the report's findings, match people with key priority areas identified within the report (see bulleted list below) and establish working groups for the key issues.  We were able to accomplish these objectives!
