The Community Foundation of Nova Scotia is a public foundation established by and for the people of Nova Scotia.
We engage in three core activities:
- we establish and maintain endowment funds to support registered charities and other eligible recipients;
- we engage in strategic grant-making; and
- we provide leadership with respect to a broad range of community issues, connecting people who care with causes that matter.
Community Foundation
of Nova Scotia
As an independent charitable organization, we are limited only by the will and imagination of our donors. We believe in the power of individuals and organizations working together to effect positive change in our communities. We encourage projects which promote self-sufficiency and long term sustainability but we’re not afraid to experiment either. We recognize that innovation, creativity and entrepreneurialism are key contributors to success, especially in our Atlantic Canadian environment. We actively seek projects which have the potential for high impact, no matter how big or small they may be.
We invite you to explore our website to get to know us better and to find out how you can get involved. Or, if you prefer, you may contact us to arrange for a private appointment or group information session. Our office hours are 9:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday – Friday. Meetings can also be arranged outside of business hours. We look forward to working with you!
